She can cook?

Daily Observations:

• Amazingly stupid people back at it again this week
• My work life is a daily DILBERT comic strip
• My home life is kind of part Garfield, part Cathy

Let's step back in time.  Not that long ago, I was single, and never cooked a lick.  By 'cook' I mean make an actual meal from scratch.  Tonight I finally felt like a real cook.  Not sure why tonight it resonated with me, but it did, so I'm going with it.  To top it off, husby actually said 'Yum'.  Carla's chicken asian fusion concoction was delish and improvised with what I had on hand. 
That said, my cooking will probably never compare to my mom's.  She is an extroadinary cook.  But she's also had a lot more practice than me!  On my list of to do's is to pin her down with some of those recipes. 
WAY easier said than done....
